Joe Savage is a 21 year old musician from Manchester, England. Joe became interested in music at a very young age and at 9 years old began learning the drums. He developed his skills further, learning guitar and piano and eventually started producing music. Since then Joe’s passion for music has only grown stronger. He writes and produces his own material and is constantly crafting his own sound as he continues forward in his passion for songwriting.

Going by the name “JeSuisJoe” he released his first song ‘With Me’ in 2018, which found its way onto Spotifys Fresh Finds: Indie playlist. This single garnered over 6,000 streams in its first month. Since then he has released a self titled EP and various singles which were well received and found him on the ‘one to watch’ list on Alfitude music blog.

Inspired by the likes of Frank Ocean, Bon Iver and Slowdive to name a few, Joe utilises the guitar bass and drums heavily, while also branching out into some experimental musical techniques to achieve a unique and varied style. Combining the genres of indie, alt pop and folk Joe seeks to produce a melancholic dream pop aesthetic whilst also rooting himself in the acoustic field. His most recent single titled, “And now I’m on my own again” was very much inspired by the shoe gaze genre, featuring bright and distorted electric guitars and a driving beat whilst still including his signature mellow vocals and soft synth pads.

For ‘interpretations’ Joe has continued to utilise his knowledge of music and arrangement techniques to visualise The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch and help bring the piece alive for the installation along with David Cummins, Baxter Fielding and Sedgi.
